Shipping Information & Order Status


Free Shipping* on most Orders Over $150.00 (Lower 48 States)

  • We try to our very best to offer Free Shipping whenever possible.  The majority of orders over $150 that ship Ground (FedEx, UPS, USPS) to the contiguous 48 states will ship free to you.  We will gladly pick up the tab.
  • In some cases one or more of these items may require an additional shipping charge from the carrier.  In these cases we will still pick up the normal charges and alert you of any additional fees to get the product to you.  These may include shipping to rural areas, large downtown centers, packages that require two people to lift, packages that need a special vehicle to deliver them, etc.  
  • A $12.95 shipping charge will be applied to most products under $150 in the US Contiguous 48 States. If we can combine ordered items we are glad to pass the savings to you!

You can trust that your order will be quickly processed and delivered. When you place an order we will estimate delivery dates based upon the availability of your item(s), shipping method selected and your shipment's destination. Our shipping charges are determined by the dollar amount of your purchase order, weight of the items, or special delivery conditions excluding applicable sales tax. Some products cannot be shipped to international destinations so please submit a message to us from the Contact Us page if you would like to discuss international ordering options.

Freight Items (LTL - Less than Truckload) - INSPECT BEFORE SIGNING!

We offer many products for sale that are too large or heavy for UPS and FedEx to handle and therefore will not usually qualify for Free Shipping*.  In these cases we utilize national freight carriers to deliver these items.  We have negotiated deep discounts and we pass the savings to you.  There are some important things to note for Freight shipments.

  • The item will be marked Freight Item on the product page and/or in checkout.
  • PROVIDE VALID DAYTIME PHONE NUMBER!  You will most likely be called by the freight carrier for a delivery appointment if you provided a residential address.  If you instruct the driver to drop off the package you will have no recourse for freight damage and delayed or missed appointments will result in additional fees to you.
  • The charge listed is the average rate for the US 48 Contiguous States.  We will contact before your item is shipped if additional shipping is required.  Some reasons for additional charges would be hard to get to areas like downtown or narrow streets, special truck requirements such as lift gates or special handling.
  • INSPECT BEFORE SIGNING!  Once you sign for your package there are no returns or refunds for shipping damage.  This is freight carrier policy.

How do I check the status and/or track my order?

Contact us for a tracking number or call our Customer Service Department at 888-257-4005 and get up-to-date order information. Tracking numbers are typically available 48 hours after the order is placed (except orders placed on the weekend, then the 48 hour clocks starts on Monday).

If you have ordered an item that is out-of-stock or sold-out, we will keep it as an open order for 30 days. Please understand that a delay may occur if your credit card was declined or for address verification if your billing address and ship to address are not the same. For this reason it is important that you provide the correct phone number and e-mail address. Typically, we can only ship to a customer's credit card billing address. To have it shipped to an alternate address, contact your credit card company first, tell them you would like to set up an "alternate shipping address" and they will ask you some security questions and typically grant your request and have your new information updated within 48 to 72 hours. That allows you to then place the order, or if you have already placed it, allows us to continue with the shipment. Those procedural steps are required due to the potential of fraudulent orders.

How do I make a change to my order?

As orders are processed very quickly, making a change to your order cannot be guaranteed. We cannot make a change free of charge to orders that have already been shipped. Please call our Customer Service Department at 888-257-4005 if you need to change or cancel your order.

Product Availability

All products are subject to availability and prior sale. When Tonneau Covers World offers deals on "Closeout" or "Hot Special" items please note that such items sell out very fast and are sometimes not replaceable.

Pricing may vary between our magazine ads and website. Currency fluctuations, manufacturer price increases, model year changes, and other factors may cause our costs to change. Tonneau Covers World reserves the right to change prices at any time without notice. Prices listed do not always include shipping. Errors in product descriptions, weights, prices, or photography are unintentional and subject to correction.

How do you handle backorders?

At times demand for a product will exceed our inventory level. This will create a backorder for the product. Our buyers are constantly monitoring our inventory and working to re-stock those items. Please check the website for the current ETA on backordered items.

Please note the stock status of the items you ordered on your email order confirmation.

Tonneau Covers World's policy is to ship parts in stock or as they become available until all items are shipped. If there is a backordered item, the item will ship out when it comes back in stock. Tonneau Covers World ships from warehouse distribution points and factories as needed to get you the correct part quickly and efficiently.

In the event that one or more of the items is on back order, we will follow your instructions on when to ship:

Ship your order complete: We will hold the order until the backordered item returns to stock and then ship the entire order complete. If the product is pulled from different warehouses, we will do our best to have them arrive within a narrow delivery time span.

Ship Separately: Ship all available items now and the backorder when it returns to stock. A split order handling charge of $3.50 may be added to your order. The balance of your order will ship out via FEDEX or UPS Ground delivery when all the items are in stock.

Cancel: Cancel all backorders and ship the remaining items immediately.

If you have ordered an item that becomes discontinued either by the manufacturer or by Tonneau Covers World, it will be canceled from your order. We will notify you of the adjustment to your order.
