The carpet-like surface of the Gator Premium Bed Mat is actually a polypropylene material made of recycled bottles. This makes it absorbent and easy on your knees while still durable enough to prevent damage caused by cargo shifting in your bed. This material is also immune to damage caused by common corrosive chemicals such as bleach, motor oil, and battery acid.

Underneat the mat, a slip resistant pad works in concert with hook-and-loop fasteners to keep the mat in place. This pad will not absorb water, so the mat isn't prone to mold and mildew.
